About me
There are many stories how for the first time someone got his/her camera at the earlier age of 14 or 10 or 7 and how since then one developed a passion for photography. In some instances it is correct in some it just a wishful thinking. I could not say that I develop my passion for photography since my childhood. It would be incorrect. I did start taken pictures with my Dad’s camera when allowed in my teens, but somehow it did not click with me until my daughter was born. It was such a wonderful time to go out with her to park and start taking pictures of what she did. Same joy I encounter with photographing my sons, especially during winter time. While they were young they did not object me to take pictures of them, that quite changed since than.
I did my share of dark room work in the past by preparing own solutions and developing films and photo paper by myself. That is all in the past. Right now I use only digital however I miss film for it versatility.
During my last few years I participated in group shows at “SMALL WORKS GALLERY” at NYU (2006, 2007, 2009) and was a finalist of all-American competition of emerging photographers run by PDN in 2007.
In July 2010 I exhibited my images at “EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHY TO BENEFIT MUSEUM OF RUSSIAN ART”.
In 2011 I won second place in competition sponsored by Fuji and third place on print competition sponsored by MOAB paper and B&H Photo Video judged by Frank J. Dispensa.
In October 2011 I participated in group show at MORA in Jersey City, NJ.
Some of my photographs have been published in newspapers, books and online.
